Gilded Royal Flush

Sacramento, CA

This petite powder bath is packed with so many fun elements! Before we embarked on design, the client shared this wallpaper selection as inspiration and mentioned how much symbolism was hidden within the pattern that reminded her of her sister. We decided this wallpaper would be our *must* to incorporate and the rest of the palette would build off of it. The deep black base of the wallpaper created a sophisticated, rich and moody feeling and is balanced by its playful and vibrant pattern. Inspired by the vibrancy, we selected an emerald green concrete vessel sink and painted the ceiling and door to match. To ground the space and give it some warmth, a natural stained white oak was selected for the floating vanity, paired with an organic plaster look Dekton top that offers a dual level surface for flexibility of use. A fun hex-shaped tile was used on the floor and popped with a black grout accent. The knobs on the vanity were repurposed from an existing closet door in the home, which the client originally asked us to discard, but they were simply too perfect for the space and we couldn’t part with them. They are now one of the homeowner’s favorite elements! The antique brass finish on the knobs is what led us to finish the space with a mixture of black and brass accents on the fixtures and accessories.
