Kailani Bustamante, daughter of NDG founder Nar, discussed her new summer job working at NDG with KBB magazine. Following a summer internship last year, Kailani is taking on a new, more hands-on role with the design team. Having already taken part in the design of an award-winning bathroom, experienced numerous jobsite visits, and sat in on many client meetings, Nar says of his daughter “I think a lot of our interns would die to have what she already has at 15.” She doesn’t just do it because her dad encourages her however, when asked “What part of your job do you like the most?”, Kailani talks about how much satisfaction she gets when she sees the results of her hard work in the expressions on the clients faces. “I really like working with the clients, and honestly, I love the process of putting something together and presenting it to the client and seeing their face light up.”
